Choose a License Type
Several license types are available to suit different users. Each license allows one user at a time to run the software. Discounts are applied for multiple licenses.
|Annual||An annual includes maintenance and updates to the software for the first 12 months after purchase. Updates can be downloaded from our website. Under an annual license the software may be used for 12 months after which the license dongle must be returned or a new license purchased to allow continued use.|
|Perpetual||The price includes maintenance and updates to the software for the first 12 months after purchase. Updates can be downloaded from our website. Under a perpetual license, an annual maintenance and support fee is charged to continue to receive support and updates to the program. Typically we issue three or four software updates every year. The maintenance and support fee is 15% of the list price of the software. Please note that list prices may be adjusted for inflation.|
|Site||For 20 or more users a Site license allows an unlimited number of users under a Perpetual type license.|
|Research||Available for University research purposes only. The Research license includes all analysis modules with a fixed limit of 300 busbars. The license must be renewed every 12 months, however there is no charge for this.|
|Educational||For use by University Students and Lecturers for teaching, research and study purposes only. The Educational license includes the Load Flow and Fault Level analysis modules and Python Scripting interface with a fixed limit of 50 busbars. Up to 25 simultaneous users are allowed in order to cater for teaching and laboratory work. The license must be renewed every 12 months, however there is no charge for this.|
The minimum system requirements to install and run Ipsa are summarised below. The most important requirement is the monitor resolution, processing and memory requirements only become important when analysing very large networks.

Administrator rights are required to install Ipsa.
Ipsa is licensed using a USB hardware dongle that must be plugged into the computer to allow Ipsa to be used. Ipsa may be installed on any number of computers but only the licensed number of users will be licensed to run the software at any one time.
Please note that a charge will be made to replace license dongles that have been lost.
