Fault level
Fault level analysis simulates the effects of various types of short circuits on the A.C. busbars of the system.
The fault level module contains the following features:
- Fault level engine validated against actual test results
- Complies with G74 methodology
- Pure IEC60909 calculation
- Explicit representation of zero sequence networks including delta windings
- Zero sequence branches and shunts with no positive sequence representation
- Includes pre-fault loading and load currents
- Optional flat voltage profile before calculation
- Synchronous machine modelling
- Saturation (explicitly or only for faults near to machine)
- Salient pole (second harmonic effects)
- Simplified Grid infeed representation
- Fault types available
- L-L-L (three phase)
- L-G (single phase to ground)
- L-L
