The Company
IPSA Power is a world-class independent consultancy group providing leading-edge technical consultancy services
and software products to the global power industry.
IPSA Power merged with TNEI Services Ltd in 2004 but still retains close links with relevant Manchester University
academic departments and associated key individuals to exploit their respective
knowledge of fundamental research, technology and know-how.
The Software
The IPSA software is based on the pioneering power system analysis work, covering both system design
and systems operations aspects of power systems, which flourished for many years within the University
of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). In 1998
an independent company was formed under the auspices of UMIST Ventures Ltd to enable our software to reach
a broader marketplace.
